HIV as a disease does not discriminate. HIV is no longer limited to the original populations it affected. HIV is a human disease. Provided the correct scenario, the virus that causes AIDS will infect a person. It is important to remember however that HIV is infectious, not contagious. HIV can only be transmitted if one of the four fluids of transmission is introduced into a persons bloodstream. Casual contact, such as hugging, hand holding, sharing eating utensils, sharing toilets, kissing and many more are not cause transmission. |
