Vermont CARES is hiring two positions, one based on St. Johnsbury focused on case management for Vermonters with HIV and prevention including syringe exchange, and the other based out of Rutland with a focus on syringe services and case management related to that program.

Vermont CARES Harm Reduction Case Manager/Syringe Service Program (based in Rutland)

If you are passionate about improving the lives of Vermonters affected by substance use and are a harm reductionist at heart, working with Vermont CARES in our Harm Reduction Program is the place for you.

Dynamic position working with Vermonters through our Syringe Service Program.  This statewide public health program is rooted in harm reduction; therefore, our ideal candidate must embody compassion, love, and acceptance for people who use drugs. This position provides front line harm reduction services and case management within the Syringe Service Program. This job requires a solid understanding of harm reduction, HIV and HCV infection and the ability to build trust with clients and providers. Experience in case management and substance use services is a plus.

Reliable transportation is needed. Full time position (37.5 hours) based in Rutland with generous benefits (health, vision, PTO).

Vermont CARESRegional Coordinator / Case Manager (based in St. Johnsbury)

Dynamic position working with HIV+ individuals to facilitate medical connections and housing; some prevention and harm reduction work incorporated including HIV education presentations and staffing syringe exchange. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, community resources, and harm reduction model necessary. Reliable transportation needed. Full time position (37.5 hours/wk) based in St. Johnsbury with generous benefits (health, vision, PTO).
